I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (formerly the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics) at McMaster University. I am also a Member of the Centre for Health Economics and Policy Analysis (CHEPA) at McMaster University, and an Adjunct Scientist in the division of Child Health Evaluative Sciences at the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute. I completed an MSc in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Western Ontario (2006), and PhD in Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto (2010).

My research interests include population and public health, chronic disease prevention, and modifiable determinants of health in early life. More specifically, I am interested in the methods for measuring and modifying population health across the life-course. My research includes the fields of nutritional epidemiology, population health interventions, the developmental origins of health and disease (DOHaD), and the analysis of secondary data. I am particularly interested in the role of modifiable exposures in early childhood on longterm health outcomes and currently leading several funded projects related to childhood obesity.
